Nursery - Ages 0 - 5
At Rockledge UMC, we believe that children should be ministered to from birth. In our nursery, infants and children experience that love of God through our staff, music, stories, and play. Our nursery staff person, Mrs. Yadira Ferrer, or "Mrs. Yadi" is a professional child care provider, and has the patience, understanding, and dedication that a childcare worker needs. Each Sunday, we have a volunteer from the church family who assists in the nursery. Every staff person and volunteer has been screened by the Florida Department of Law Enforcment to ensure that our children are in a safe environment. We have two nursery rooms. Room #1 is for our infants and toddlers, and Room #2 is for our 3 to 5 year olds. Every week, all the children in the nursery sing worship songs, have a Bible lesson, and make a craft that emphasizes the truth and love from God they have experienced. We also have up to date toys, cribs, and swings for our babies, as well as a television with appropriate videos for our older children. Parents are welcome to come a sit with their child to help them transition into this new environment, and to get to know our nursery staff.
