Meet our Pastor and Staff

Pastor, Theodore (Ted) E. Wood

Pastor Ted Wood grew up in a rural town in North Central Florida, where he met his wife, Kimberly, and married her in 1993. He received Christ in a small country church after hearing a teaching at youth group. He realized that his life was not complete without Christ, and subsequently led his future wife to Christ as well. This was only a foreshadowing of God's plan for his life, for he would come to point many to Christ in the following years.

Ironically enough, he was never able to speak in front of crowds until God called him to be a pastor. Receiving his gift to speak and teach was one of many confirmations that God was calling him into full time ministry. He received his master's degree at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and, while there, pastored two churches in the LaGrange area. There he learned that while you may be considered a "part time student pastor," there is no such thing as part time ministry.

After graduating, Pastor Ted ministered for several years in the Gainesville and surrounding areas of North Central Florida. In June 2002, he and his family moved to Rockledge, FL to pastor at Rockledge United Methodist Church. He and his wife, Kimberly, have three children: Joshua (10), Jeremiah (9), and Noelle (6).

Pastor Ted and Kimberly are passionate about Jesus Christ and his plan for their ministry here in Rockledge. They enjoy ministering in a variety of settings including childrens ministry, feeding the hungry, music, Bible study, small groups, meeting practical needs, and reaching the community to name a few.

Pastor Ted has a heart for God and for people. He sees the potential in people and longs to see God's plan lived out in their lives. He would love to assist you in any way to know God better and live a free life in Jesus Christ.
